About Entama

ENTAMA is EDP’s entrepreneurship and employability support programme, as part of its commitment to the local communities in which it operates.

ENTAMA helps to launch and consolidate business projects in our social and territorial environment, seeking a positive impact in the medium and long term. The programme operates in Spain and Portugal, specifically in municipalities where there are assets belonging to EDP, territories in which we want to help create value with all our stakeholders, to fix the population and ensuring both equal opportunities and inclusive access to services.

ENTAMA funds forward-looking initiatives that focus on local resources, local and artisanal products, the establishment of new services in areas at risk of depopulation, and the promotion of sustainable tourism and local employability; all of this with more sustainable supply chains and strong support for women’s entrepreneurship.

Objective: to promote job creation in local communities, in a sustainable and forward-looking manner.

JUST TRANSITION

We believe in a shift towards a more sustainable economy and society that minimises its environmental impact while ensuring the well-being and quality of life of people and their local communities. No one should be left behind in this process towards a more balanced model for future generations. Therefore, just transition means equity, inclusion, dialogue, and the active involvement of all stakeholders in the planning and implementation of this sustainable change.

FEMALE

The development of a society with greater wealth, justice and equality requires support for female employability and their economic empowerment. For this reason, we promote projects led by women and with the potential for female employability to eliminate barriers in access to employment, guarantee equal opportunities, reduce poverty and social exclusion, and promote the cultural diversity of society.

DECARBONISATION

In order to achieve a just energy transition, the process of decarbonisation and electrification of the economy must be accelerated. To this end, renewable energies, whose potential has not yet been fully exploited and which promote energy independence, while creating value in new territories, must be promoted. At ENTAMA, we support innovative, sustainable and low-carbon projects to advance decarbonisation and combat climate change.
