Program
ENTAMA is a program created with the aim of supporting business initiatives that generate resources, employment and added value in our environment in a sustainable and forward-looking manner. It is part of EDP’s social commitment to the communities in which we are present.
The projects will be selected by EDP, according to the criteria of economic viability, sustainability, business generation prospects and other cross-cutting elements such as job creation, with a focus on female employability. Other aspects that will be taken into account range from hiring local suppliers, promoting the development of the municipality and/or region, population fixation and the fight against depopulation, to the incorporation of new technologies and digitalisation.
In its first four editions, more than 40 projects have already been selected with an investment of almost 500,000 euros. And the program continues to grow year after year.
Candidates
If you have an innovative project underway that creates an impact on the territory, providing a service, creating value, fixing population and focusing on sustainability, you are a strong candidate for ENTAMA.
Candidates must be natural persons of legal age and/or legal entities legally constituted and duly registered, with no incompatibility with other sources of public or third party funding. Watch for the opening of this year’s process and send us your proposal through the private area of this website. Exceptionally, we will accept applications sent in digital format to: stakeholders.iberia@edp.com
Deadlines and proposals
The deadlines for submitting applications are published annually in the program rules, always being a sufficient period of time to prepare the application and submit it in due time and form.
The proposal must include a descriptive report of the project as detailed as possible, demonstrating the technical capacity for its execution, but, above all, highlighting the expected impact in the areas of action.
The keys: project feasibility, potential job creation, social innovation, environment, equality ….
Phases and duration
The selection of projects is usually communicated at the end of the year, with the duration of the support during the following year.
In addition to financial support, there may be other ways of collaboration, such as the creation of networks with other sponsors and the study of joint activities, or support from EDP in other non-monetary aspects. These actions will be coordinated individually with the candidates who may need it and request it.
Comité de evaluación
The evaluation of the projects is carried out by an evaluation committee formed by a multidisciplinary team of EDP. Engineers, economists, lawyers and other technical and administrative profiles will evaluate the applications, always taking into account the viability of the projects, their degree of maturity, and their social and territorial impact.
This is a transparent and objective process, which aims to select the best projects and their alignment with EDP’s values: initiative, trust, excellence, sustainability and innovation.
Some of the evaluation criteria are:
Selection process
The selection process starts with the submission of applications. Here it is very important to describe the project presented, to be able to demonstrate its viability and territorial impact, as well as the expected creation of value. If you have a Business Plan already defined, it will certainly already include all these aspects.
The evaluation of applications by the evaluation committee continues, a phase in which additional information may be requested, always with the aim of reaching a greater and better understanding and assessment of the project.
Once this selection has been completed, the result of the evaluation is communicated individually, and the selected projects are published in different media for wider dissemination.
If you have not been selected, that’s fine. We encourage you to keep working on your project and you will be able to apply for future editions.
Cooperation agreement
The collaboration will be formalised through a Collaboration Agreement, which will be signed with each of the selected project holders, with the rights and obligations of each of the parties.
You are already a ‘entamador’!
Financial assistance
The ENTAMA Evaluation Committee will propose the amount allocated to each project.
The maximum amount to be allocated to a project is €20,000.
We know that starting a project requires a lot of effort and funding. With this support, we want to contribute our small grain of sand for a first step that will encourage you to become an entrepreneur.
We count on you!
